Successful Chili Cook Off!!


We had a very successful Cluster Chili Cook Off on Sunday, February 26th at Hartmann Hall. We had 10 contestants submit chili for judging and many more bring chili to share! It was all delicious and our three judges had a tough job, but in the end three entries were chosen:

1st Place - Jeanne Dudek from St. Vincent de Paul

2nd Place - Dolores Lucas from Grace Episcopal Church

3rd Place - Betsy Musshafen from St. Mary of the Assumption

Here is the WINNING RECIPE if you would like to give it a try:

Chili Zuppa Rocambolesco (Jeanne's World Famous Chili)

1 package French's Chili -O
1 lb. cooked ground turkey
1 can seasoned black beans
1 can petite diced tomatoes with sweet onion
1 jar salsa, mild (medium if you prefer it a little spicy)
1 can Bush's chili beans in sauce
1 can pizza sauce
1 can corn (fiesta corn with peppers if you can)
1 package turkey pepperoni
Chicken broth if needed to thin it out
Shredded cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top
Optional: mild mini peppers sliced and cooked briefly
