 PUBLIC POLICY WEEKEND ------- FEBRUARY 7&8, 2015

Your participation is needed to send a strong message to our State Assembly Members to end the stalemate on the life-affirming provisions of the Women’s Equality Act and pass the individual bills already passed by the State Senate, so that New York women can finally have the overdue rights and protections in the provisions. These include ending workplace and gender discrimination, and providing more protection for victims of human trafficking and domestic violence. The support of thousands of parishioners from across the diocese will have a real impact. For more information, contact your Deacon Matt Dudek who coordinates our cluster social ministry committees or Suzanne Stack, Diocesan Life Issues Coordinator (sstack@dor.org or 585-328-3210 x1304)

If you can help pass out clipboards sign up here or contact Colleen Trevisani or Matt Dudek.

What a holy coincidence that the National Day of Prayer for Human Trafficking is this Sunday, February 8, the same day we are signing letters or petitions to advocate for passage of the human trafficking provisions in the Women's Equality Act!  The USCCB provided this prayer and video on human trafficking.
